For YEARS I’ve wanted to do a Genlocke, a Nuzlocke challenge where surviving HOF Pokemon move onto the next game as eggs, with different perks. To see if we can become the world champion! I’ve tried to do this as a video series a few times, and it’s fallen flat - SO WE’RE DOING IT LIVE!Live Genlocke 2025 Rules:
1. If a Pokemon faints it must be boxed forever, and that Pokemon line is banned from subsequent games
2. No active items can be used in battle
3. Level caps are the next leader/champion ace
4. Battles played on set mode
5. Champion team members move on to the next region with various ‘buffs’ for each championship
- First HOF is chosen nature and 1 perfect IV, or Egg Move - remaining IVs same as previous game
- Second HOF 1 perfect IV, or Egg Move (max 1 Egg Move).
- Every subsequent game gets 1 perfect IV
6. Evolution items will be given by level 40 (eg stones, etc)
- Divergent Pokemon Champions must evolve into the same Pokemon (eg Champion Flareon will ALWAYS be Flareon)
- All impossible evolutions will be possible, by level 40 (eg trade evolutions)
7. Duplicate captures banned cross generation
- Exception for divergent evolutions (eg Eevee, Poliwag, Scyther, etc)
In the case of a WHITE OUT!
- 1st instance lose all champions: deaths, and dupes apply from previous attempt
- 2nd instance, GAME OVER - restart challenge
