Copyright restrictions pose a challenge for our channel. YouTube automatically monetizes the songs in this mix, directing ad revenue to copyright owners. This means we can’t control the ads or their frequency. As a result, 99.9% of MAJ’s yearly viewership generates no income for us due to copyrighted music.

MAJ’s mission is to share high-quality vinyl-only mixes. To continue, we need support to maintain our studio and cover expenses. Please consider supporting us on Patreon.

Pam's passion for music was ignited in New York City, where she studied Architecture. This period laid the foundation for her distinctive style, characterised by a profound appreciation for rhythm and melody.

"Jazz hooked me on a journey of diving into record digging. For this mix, I want to play Jazz from different places, almost like a global Jazz-Funk and Spiritual Fusion soundscape.
I chose Harvest Time by Pharoah Sanders as the first track, as for a while, I always put on this track to start my day. This range of sounds puts me into deep emotions and transports me to places.

Another track I played in this mix is from Thailand called "Isan Klab TIn" from the compilation
"The Sound of Siam". It's a cinematic track with spoken words featuring three famous singers from the northeast of Thailand (Thapporn Petchubon, Noknoi Uraiporn, Thongthai Tin Isan) on their train ride. The dreamy piano line is played by the legendary Ethiopian musician Mulatu Astatke, who himself also mentioned there is a strong link between Thai and Ethiopian music. This inspired me to select other tracks in this mix which have similarities and connect, even if they are from different corners of the world."
