A Florida artist suing Taylor Swift for alleged copyright infringement, claims she is facing ‘extreme difficulties’ in serving the singer with the lawsuit due to Swift’s out-of-state residence and security measures. In a motion filed Monday, Kimberly Marasco said service was complicated by Swift's travel for the Eras Tour and efforts to conceal her residences through trusts and LLCs. This marks Marasco's second attempt to sue Swift; the first lawsuit was dismissed after she failed to serve Swift in time. The current lawsuit, filed in February, includes defendants Swift, songwriters Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, Universal Music Group, and Republic Records. Swift remains the only defendant not yet served. While Swift was dismissed from the previous lawsuit, claims against Taylor Swift Productions are still active.
