Discovered by Japanese amateur astronomer Hideo Nishimura on August 11, Comet C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) is brightening. And it has been predicted to be visible to the naked eye this September. What a show!

September the 8th is a great date to view and photograph the comet. Its magnitude is expected to reach 4.8 (visible to the naked eye). And the comet it’ll get brighter and brighter till it reaches Perihelion on September 17th. It’s when it’ll be the closest to the Sun and with a lower magnitude (2.6).
