Firefighters are tackling a fast-moving wildfire ripping through the Castaic area of Los Angeles.

The blaze is burning at a rate of more than 12 hectares a minute, which is the equivalent length of 23 football fields prompting mandatory evacuations.

At least 25 people have died with at least two dozen still missing.
