Meanwhile, newly obtained emails from Toronto Public health suggest the Tendercare long-term care home, which had the deadliest COVID-19 outbreak in Ontario, ignored advice that could have helped save lives. More than 300 staff and residents tested positive for COVID-19 and 81 residents died. Carolyn Jarvis has details of the advice that was not followed.

The Tokyo Olympics officially kick off on Friday, but few in Japan are celebrating. COVID-19 concerns continue to rise and, as Mike Armstrong reports, even Olympic officials also won't rule out the possibility that events could be cancelled at the last minute.
