
The hot plate usually collects a lot of limescale build-up when the baby bottle steamer is frequently used. All we do is add some regular white vinegar and let the device sit for a while. Then we can remove most of the limescale with a household sponge.
In case there is more limescale remaining, briefly turn on the hot plate and allow the vinegar to start bubbling. Now we turn off the hot plate again and let it cool down for a bit, ensuring we present injuries from happening.
The remaining limescale should come off at this point.
As last step we rinse the vinegar in the sink and wipe the remains dirt away.
