University of Hawaiʻi football will enter a new era for viewers this fall, as the school’s long-standing pay-per-view model will be eliminated for the 2025 season under a one-year television deal with Spectrum.

All locally produced games will air live on Spectrum Sports, with remaining matchups televised on national networks.

For the first time, UH football home games not picked up nationally will be available live, without pay-per-view fees or broadcast delays, to Spectrum TV and Hawaiian Telcom customers.

The package will include six home games and one road contest at no additional cost to viewers.

Fans outside of Hawaii can watch broadcasts on the Mountain West app.

“We’re thrilled to make Rainbow Warrior football more accessible than it has been in decades,” UH Mānoa athletics director Matt Elliott said in a statement. “No tape delays. No pay-per-view. No added fees for anyone already watching UH sports at home.”

Football head coach Timmy Chang said the change is a major win for the program and its fans.

“Hawaiʻi football is your team, the entire state of Hawaiʻi,” Chang said. “Our team carries the pride, the history, and the aloha of our islands every day we train, every time we take the field. Now, the whole state gets to watch and feel the passion of every game. Go Warriors!”
