This is a remote-controlled job, where train movement is made by the conductor and brakeman using an RC beltpack versus an engineer controlling from the cab.
We start off at the cage track at Buena Park, where it picks up a string of cars from Westrock before proceeding to the small yard to grab its cars for the day. We follow it as it travels down the Santa Ana Industrial Lead, then down the West Anaheim Wye onto the Stanton Industrial Lead, performing industrial switching work in Garden Grove before making its run to Reliable Lumber at the end of the line in Huntington Beach, CA.
Retracing its steps back to Buena Park, we catch it several more times, and on another day the train is seen running on the west end of the Santa Ana Industrial Lead where it dropped off a boxcar at International Paper in Norwalk. This local runs quite a long distance, allowing for many opportunities to see this train throughout its work. A veteran GP15-1 and GP38-2 serve as power for this local. Thanks for watching!
