This is a tribute to Billy Dean Andrus and Skip Spence.
Two friends, brothers, and beautiful souls. Two talended musicians that touched the life of many people and deserved a better fate.
In the case of Billy Dean Andrus, he didn't survive the Sixties.
Skip Spence survived but he would never be the same.

This video includes super 8 footage of Billy Dean as a kid getting his first guitar for Xmas; photos of Billy and Skip playing together during their folk-rock days in San Jose and super 8 footage of Skip and Pat's wedding in 1964 with Billy as best man.

Audio is an excerpt of "David of Bijou", a song that Billy Dean Andrus wrote about Skip. He recorded it in 1968 with his band Weird Herald. The full track is included on "Just Yesterday", the Weird Herald archival album on Guerssen Records.
