Hear from choreographer Beatriz Garcia as she shares about the inspiration for her piece “En Camino”. Learn about the mythology of Calypso and the Sirens from Senior Lecturer at the University of Miami Classics Department, Dr. Han Tran and how these stories inspired choreographer Marika Brussel to create “Saltwater Song”. DDTM Artistic Directors Jennifer Kronenberg and Carlos Guerra share some behind the scenes insights into how they choose what pieces to revisit in the company’s repertory with Vincente Nebrada’s “Fiebre” and Gerald Arpino’s “Light Rain”. This inspiring and informative conversation is moderated by arts journalist Jordan Levin.
