They rejected it. feeling it wasn't right for their album, so Jimmy introduced him to former Eagle Don Henley. Don listened to it and didn't look really get into it. Mike Campbell thought he didn't like it, but Don left and called Mike up and hour later and told him he'd just written the best song of his career.
