After teaching in a remote nomadic school, I headed to my sister’s house to get my car back. They had just returned from a trip and gave me a warm welcome along with a beautiful souvenir! Then, I went to visit my friend’s family after learning that he had recently been imprisoned. I wanted to be there for them and offer some support in this difficult time.
