Texas guitar virtuoso Stevie Ray Vaughan performing at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. I moved to Austin in 1978 until 2010. I saw Stevie play a lot. He was very approachable. I would speak to him when he was still playing bar gigs. But I never kept him long. I'm sure he had better things to do.

I remember the DJ at KLBJ FM in Austin breaking in on a song playing. She was emotionally distraught. Crying and choked up. She said we are not sure yet but SRV might have died in an accident. We'll let you know as soon as we get more information. About 15 minutes they confirmed his death. I even teared up and got a sick feeling in my tummy. I miss him dearly. Andrew W.
