Craig and I left for New Richmond, Wisconsin Thursday morning around 8 am. We traveled the 170 miles to watch the 22nd annual Masters at the Cedar Lake Speedway. Got to make some new friends. Parked right next to us was the Shane Sabraski Fan Group: his major sponsor, West Metro, Jeff Sell and his grandparents. Grandma Julie and I spent time chatting about racing. Back when Shane started racing at Viking Speedway, Julie would sit close to the Crouse Clan and became friends. All three nights were great racing in the 3 classes, late models, usmts , and usra limited late mode. Saturday Craig and I tooled around on Jeffs golf cart. We happened to be at Sabraskis trailer when racing celebrity, Hot Karl came to interview Shane. Very cool guy!!! I watched Saturday's feature with the Viking Speedway tailgating bunch in turn 3. What a blast!. After Saturday's feature Evan, Avery and I went to the pits in search of Hot Karl. He was so good with the kids, took pictures and spent time talking with them and all his fans.
