Check this out in TMNT: Mutant Mayhem! Donatello's stylin' JoJo's Bizarre Adventure hoodie that you might've spotted in a few scenes wasn't just a random fashion choice. It came about when Director Jeff Rowe decided to sprinkle in some anime references. During an early recording session, he asked the turtle actors for ideas, and the JoJo reference was actually suggested by Micah Abbey, the voice behind Donatello. Oh, and towards the end of the film, a reporter calls our heroes the "Hero Turtles." This is a throwback to the "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles," the title used for the British TV broadcasts of the original cartoon series.
