Legends Series part II - Malaria! dedicated to the immortal Christine Hahn (RIP May 28, 2025)

Recently we lost Christine Hahn (RIP May 28, 2025) of a seminal NDW band Malaria! and a slew of other NY no wave projects;

To honor and showcase the work of the beloved artists we have recently lost we are kicking off MT Legends series;

Christine was prolific and recognized artist as well as a musician. Her art collections were exhibited in Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Tate Modern, and the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna. She was a founding member of bands Daily Life, The Static, and CKM with Kim Gordon, playing at Mudd Club, Max's, The Kitchen, Artists Space and other venues for experimental music and art. In Europe, she collaborated with artist Martin Kippenberger and subsequently moved to Berlin to record an LP with electronic musician Klaus Kruger. She performed and recorded as a musician for the next several years in Europe and was a founding member of the internationally recognized all-female post-punk band Malaria!.

Malaria! was a German post-punk experimental electronic music band from West Berlin, formed in 1981
Their videos were ahead of their time and artistic masterpieces with notably "You, You" directed by Anne Carlisle of Liquid Sky fame.
