Early in the aughts I was very active in the UK based underground electronic music scene, getting signed to Type Records in 2003 and releasing 'September', a classic of the era that still sounds fresh today.This tune, The Object, was recorded some time in 2001-2003 using a Nord Lead 2 rack synthesizer for all the sound, the software M as the midi sequencer, and Digital Performer for DAW and audio manipulation and mixing.
I still love the haunting quality of the melodies, and the nameless and faceless drum sounds that are both familiar and unique simultaneously.
The video is a mix-up of some of my AI animation work, and while very sci-fi there is no real narrative, but there is an overall esthetic and vibe to the whole thing.
