Apparently, I've been using a potato peeler wrong my whole life. Let's try this out. 

According to this hack, you can run your peeler back and forth across whatever you're peeling rather than just running it in one direction. 

Does it work? Yeah, technically it does. Is it safe? Not even a little bit. These f*ckers are sharp enough to peel your finger, too. 

In my opinion, just stick with the traditional way. Effective and definitely safer.
