In this interview, Arshan sat down with Jim Legxacy for his first EVER video interview to discuss everything from his roots in Lewisham to being one of the torchbearers leading this new wave of UK sound! Being inspired by the likes of Skepta, Giggs, and Stormzy and contemporaries of Central Cee and Dave, Jim alongside the likes of YT, Len, & Fimiguerrero, is bringing a new excitement to the world of UK music and is capitalizing off of that with his forthcoming album, ‘BBM’ (Black British Music). With inspirations ranging from Bon Iver, Kanye West, Paramore, Drake, Dave, Frank Ocean, Jon Bellion, Skepta, Brakence, to JPEG Mafia critics have had a hard time pinpointing his sound & Jim is candid about that, “my music is a mess, but it’s my mess.” Arshan and Jim talked about his love for wrestling and CM Punk to overcoming poverty and homelessness to working with Central Cee, Dave, and Fred Again.. to championing US Underground music like Protect & xaviersobased to being called a “Jerk Rapper” to where he finds purpose and what’s next for him.
