A number of supporters were injured after a tifo, a large-scale choreographed display, collapsed during a practice match between FC Twente and Stevo, an amateur club, in Geesteren on Saturday evening.

The tifo, which showed former Twente players Epi Drost and Arnold Bruggink, fell from a crane, dropping metal pieces on top of fans below. Eight people were injured, four of whom were taken to hospital. FC Twente later confirmed on social media that ‘everyone is conscious and has received medical attention’. The match was cancelled.
