While Gowri Jayakumar and Vasuda Sharma have worked with each other before, they met Matteo Fraboni for the first time just a day before this shoot.Each one of them are known for breaking barriers with their own medium. The idea to bring them together was to learn how spontaneity guides their vision to work together. While Gowri had the pulse of the composition, Vasuda seamlessly blends Indian Classical through her voice, while Matteo uses a simple device to add beats to fit into the musical context.

Gowri Jayakumar

Gowri is a musician with a few avatars. As a solo singer/songwriter, she plays guitar and sings. She released her debut album Sad Little Shoebox in August 2012, with the studio-time she had won with Resonate Music Awards.
She also formed the award-winning “freak funk” band Run Pussy Run in 2014 to open up her compositions to reinterpretation. They performed nine of their songs for Kappa TV’s Music Mojo program. They later went on to win $10,000 with the Project Aloft Star amplified by MTV Asia award. They also won the “Best Songwriting” award at Hornbill International Rock Contest.
Wordplay and harmonic drifting bind all her avatars together.

Vasuda Sharma

Vasuda is a singer-songwriter originally from New Delhi. Her
music is a nice blend of Indian classical and folk music with western contemporary music. Her debut as a music director in a bollywood movie “Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu” brought a new wave in the music Industry with songs sung by the late. Jagjeet Singh & Shanker Mahadevan.
Recently she received a scholarship from Berklee College of Music in Boston,USA where she went for a year to pursue her studies in music. She collaborated with international musicians from all over the word and recorded her album which is going to be ready soon.

Matteo Fraboni

Graduated in Jazz arrangement and composition in G.B Martini Conservatory of Bologna, he learns drums and percussion in Cuba with legendary Changuito, in Africa with Mamadou Diouf, and in New York, taking private lessons from Ari Hoening, Nate Smith, Gene Jackson, Paul Motian, Bill Stewart and Brian Blade. In Italy he studied in Siena Jazz Accademy with Stefano Battaglia, Fabrizio Sferra, Massimo Manzi, Ettore Fioravanti and Roberto Gatto.
He's also doing masterclasses, working on his method, published by Edizioni Setticlavio, "The Jazz Snare Drum", available on line shops worldwide. Nowadays he is touring in India, presenting his new album 'Latino' with his Quintet.
