The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki showcased the Jimny compact SUV at the 2020 Auto Expo to gauge the public response. The petrol powered SUV will get AWD technology and is a popular product in the international market. Sources also tell us that the Jimny 3-door will see a mid-cycle update that will include minor cosmetic tweaks to the model and that the same updates will be carried over to the Jimny 5-door model.The India-spec Suzuki Jimny is likely to be equipped with a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that will extract up to 102bhp and 130Nm. The Jimny will drive all four wheels and come with a low range transfer case.
