Are you new to the gym or feeling stuck in your fitness journey? In this video, we discuss the critical importance of mastering the fundamentals before diving into fancy variations. When I started lifting, I made the mistake of skipping the basics, and it not only slowed down my progress, but also led to injuries.

⚠️ Exercise variations won't give you quicker results; they might hinder your progress. Focus on the #1 thing you need when starting in the gym: the fundamentals. The boring work is what yields the quickest results.

Learn and master these 6 movement patterns: Hip Hinge, Squat, Push, Pull, Lunge, and Carry.

1️⃣ Hip Hinge (Deadlift, Romanian deadlift, Sumo deadlift, etc.)
2️⃣ Squat (Barbell Squat, Goblet squat, Smith squat, Hack squat, etc.)
3️⃣ Push (Incline Bench press, Dumbbell bench press, Flat barbell bench press, etc.)
4️⃣ Pull (Barbell bent over row, Dumbbell bent over row, Single dumbbell row, etc.)
5️⃣ Lunge (Bulgarian split squat, Walking lunges, Reverse lunges, etc.)
6️⃣ Carry (Farmer’s walk, Dumbbell shrugs, etc.)

If you're new, becoming a MASTER at these movements is crucial for success before exploring variations. Consistency, not shortcuts, is the key. Take a hard look in the mirror, determine how far you want to go, and devise a plan. If you're feeling stuck, refocus your intentions to save time, energy, and effort.
