The opening of this song reminded me of Black Sabbath's Iron Man, so it needed a mighty title. Grendel is an ogre from the Beowulf myth and not half as nice as Shrek, I'm afraid...
Laui lend a hand on this one, playing a lovely hurdy-gurdy. The closing quote refers to Beowulf as well - "It is always better to avenge dear ones than to indulge in mourning" (see lines 1384 onward) That might be one of the most viking-y things I heard in a long time ;-)
