Arkansas State Police attempted to stop a black GMC Sierra driven by 42-year-old Christopher Monroe, a wanted drug trafficker. Instead of complying, Monroe sped off, leading officers on a high-speed chase that reached 120 mph as he crossed the Arkansas River.
During the pursuit, an officer's attempt to stop him failed, resulting in a collision with a concrete barrier. Monroe kept fleeing until police hit his truck from behind, causing it to flip and crash into a brick wall.
Officers discovered large amounts of drugs, including ecstasy, meth, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, marijuana, and Xanax, along with a handgun, drug paraphernalia, and over $8,600 in cash. Monroe was taken into custody and charged with multiple felonies, including drug trafficking, fleeing, and assaulting law enforcement.
