White's mother ran a boarding house in Springfield which was a popular stopover for traveling R&B acts and the Dreamtones reveled in having first hand contact with stars such as the Valentines & the Moonglows. After recording "Love In The Afternoon " for Klik in 1957, they cut "Praying For A Miracle" and "Jelly Bean" for Express.
The Final Dreamtones release was "A Lover's Answer" for Astra in'59. The group also provided backup on wax for Klik's Milto Sisters.
