After a stunning and original Nutcracker that thrilled a large audience in Geneva and Europe, Jeroen Verbruggen returns with one of the musical universes he particularly loves: baroque music. Through its complexity, virtuosity and desire to shake up conventions, we can say that his choreographic language is in line with the baroque style. A style characterized by the importance of counterpoint that tends towards an expressive and contrasting harmony while leaving a lot of room for ornamentation. In this program, the choreographer abandons narration for a moment in order to give full (ex)measure to his learned and sophisticated gestures.
