"The reason is that I don’t have anything to eat. There’s nothing. I have a one-year-old daughter, but there’s no milk to feed her. Whose fault is that? Who did this to us? No one cares about us. The Iran war ended in only a week after it was solved. So why have we been like this for two years now and no one cares about us."

4. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Mohammad Fawzi, displaced from Rafah:
"All the Gaza Strip waits for aid in Shakoush area. Thankfully, I was able to take only some empty boxes and I didn’t take any aid. We’ve been shot at since 6am up until 10am just so we can get aid and only some people were able to get aid. There are martyrs and injured people. The situation is difficult."
5. Various of Palestinians carrying bags of flour in Khan Younis with some coming from an area where people said trucks were looted
STORYLINE:
Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, worn down by the ongoing war with Israel, are still struggling with severe food shortages.
The limited aid that entered the territory for the first time since May was quickly looted by armed groups and desperate civilians, and only some people were able to get supplies from the U.S.-run aid distribution centers.
Mohammad Fawzi, a displaced man from Rafah, told the AP that he was only able to get empty boxes from the aid site in the Shakoush area in Rafah early Thursday morning, but not food.
“We’ve been shot at since 6am up until 10am just to get aid and only some people were able to receive it. There are martyrs and injured people. The situation is difficult,” he said.
On a busy road packed with large crowds of people in Khan Younis, some people carried some of the looted flour bags along with other products on their shoulders, bikes and donkey carts.
“I don’t have anything to eat. There’s nothing. I have a one-year-old daughter, but there’s no milk to feed her….the Iran war ended after it was solved so why have we been like this for two years now and no one cares about us,” said Mohammad Qudeh, a displaced man from east Khan Younis.
