On 23 May 1994, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh attended the Royal Preview of the annual Chelsea Flower Show. They were joined by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother; Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon; Prince and Princess Michael of Kent; and Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. Both Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother were in visibly good spirits, seen laughing with the event's organisers as they shown around the show.
