Did you know that most of the work our pilots do while in flight is done by their feet? The helicopter foot pedals play an essential role in operating the aircraft. The foot pedals on the EC130 helicopter control the anti-torque of the tail rotor. The helicopter foot pedals serve to counteract the forces from the engine, which in turn controls the helicopter’s rotation. For example, if a pilot wanted to make a left turn, they would utilize the left foot pedal to do so.
