**scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.**Mayor Mike Duggan and Council President Mary Sheffield will be joined by state lawmakers who represent Detroit to announce that the Renew Detroit program is receiving an additional $15 million in state funding that will help 500 more seniors and disabled Detroiters than originally planned and to be expanded to include windows, in addition to roofs. Renew Detroit is now a $45 million program and will help 2,000 households thanks to these Detroit Democratic state representatives. Details on how and when lower-income Detroiters can apply will be shared.
