Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will likely blend elements from several games to create a unique story for the big screen. With Dr. Robotnik seemingly gone after Sonic 3, the movie can't adapt games like Sonic Heroes, Sonic Advance, or Sonic CD directly. However, it can mix plot points from these titles. Shadow's return, hinted at in the post-credits scene, suggests he’ll have a role, but Metal Sonic might be the main antagonist. He could be reworked as a more complex villain, possibly even mimicking Robotnik’s role from earlier films. Amy Rose could also get a bigger, more empowering role, shifting from the damsel in Sonic CD to a strong ally and even Sonic’s romantic partner. Neo Metal Sonic could challenge Shadow’s position as Sonic’s biggest threat, adding excitement for fans.
