Today I install some new pedals and see how well they hold up against the stock pedals that come on most mountain bikes. And to my surprise the Chinese made fooker pedals performed exceptionally well compared to the default mountain biking pedals. So I would definitely recommend upgrading to some flat pedals if you plan on riding tougher terrain.
