No chance for ants around my Suzie’s food..You know me. I am a lady of the natural ways of living (as much as I can.) So I hate to spray any insecticide inside my house, the reason: you do not want to get sick because of those chemicals.
Sometimes, around my cat, Suzie’s food ants sneak in trying to get to it. Here is my solution: drops some Thieves Household cleaner into the water surrounding the food bowl. Ants will not come. Thieve does not bother Suzie, the cat and she knows not to drink that water because of its gentle smell. On the safe side, just have a set up that cat can’t get into that water reservoir, I also set up her fresh drinking water close by, so she can go for a drink very easily.
You can adapt this to prevent ants around your house.
