Hiro Kone and Roxy Farman present their collaboration born from a music residency at Pioneer Works.Hiro Kone is the alias of Nicky Mao, a New York City-based musician and producer. Her most recent LP, Pure Expenditure, was released on Dais Records in 2018. Taking a deconstructive approach to music, she is known to draw upon a combination of modular synthesis, noise, field recordings, and her once abandoned violin training.
Roxy Farman is an artist and musician from New York City. She is one half of the music duo Wetware.
Columbia Icefield was performed at False Harmonics which is a monthly series of new music meant to explore alternative approaches to composition, improvisation, and performance.
