Chopin's Minute Waltz is an incredibly famous piece, and is also probably one that is incredibly misunderstood because everyone thinks it should be played in under a minute. Not only is that incredibly difficult, but it removes all the space and time needed in order to properly emote and express on the piano.
I chose Lisitsa's interpretation because 1) I really enjoy it (duh), 2) because Lisitsa is sometimes only known as someone who plays incredibly fast and virtuosically (think her Moonlight Sonata), but she actually utilizes tempo really well as a tool for expression, and 3) because I absolutely love how much she pulls the B section compared to some other popular recordings as well.
I know many people are working on this piece, so I hope some of my thoughts help you out!
