About Dieciséis:
The Midwest Emo band from Managua, Nicaragua, Jardín Animal, announces the release of their new single "Dieciséis", which will debut on October 11, 2024. Formed in 2021, Jardín Animal has established itself in the city's indie rock scene with their unique sound, described as "sad music to feel happy". After the success of their debut EP Girasol in 2022, the bandhas shared the stage with some of Nicaragua's biggest rock acts, such as Monroy y Surmenage, q69k, and Lecheburra, and has participated in major rock festivals like the Fiesta de la Música organized by the Alianza Francesa.
Dieciséis" is the first preview of their upcoming second album, reflecting an evolution in the band’s sound while maintaining their signature style influenced by Midwest Emo and Math Rock. The song captures the angst of feeling stuck in adulthood, while still carrying the scars of the past. Through introspective storytelling, the lyrics explore the tension between the expectations of growing up and the mistakes and emotions of adolescence. With lines like "I wake up in the morning being 26, but my mistakes feel like 16", the band gives voice to the inner struggles of their generation.
With a promising future and a sound that resonates with the hearts of their fans, Jardín Animal is ready to conquer new horizons.
