TCB’s truck sale points witness huge rush of buyers

The rush of people belonging to low and lower middle income groups has increased at the Truck Sale points operated by Trading Corporation of Bangladesh as the prices of daily essential commodities skyrocketing in markets of Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh.
Like elsewhere, two Truck Sale points in Dhaka – one at Mohammadpur and the other at Lalbagh – on Tuesday witnessed huge crowd as the commodities including cooking oil, onion, red lentil and Sugar were being sold at lower prices.
The people who came to the sale points said that they were waiting in queues for hours since morning to buy the commodities. A good number of people said that they did not get the commodities even at 2:00pm while the stock in the truck was nearing end.
