European Max Menace arrives in New York City on a unknown mission. While waiting for his assignment, boredom sets in. Alienation thrusts him into violentet entanglements with women, weirdoes and creeps. He becomes the grimy world in which he lives. And, he never discovers why. Now neurotic, Max realizes his life is senseless. The Foreigner descends deeper into his own mental chaos.
