Hi Everyone!Recently, with all the conflict in the Middle East I've been reflecting a lot on the power of stories and personal narratives to tell the truth of what innocent people in these war zones are grappling with - their truths which often becomes invisible, lost or permanently erased. And the importance of literature to do just this. I speak to Feda Shtia, author and founder of Sunono Publishing, an independent Arabic publisher based in Scotland, discussing the incredible work they are doing in the Arabic Literature space to bring justice to those whose voices are forever in danger of being lost, hidden or forgotten.
I talk about her incredible work in this space, especially in the Children's Literature category and I am especially blown away by Sunono Publishing's latest book , Gaza I Spy, a stunning photo journal and collection of narratives showcasing the lives of Gazans through this conflict.
