It's our great privilege to present the debut Silk EP of Joshua Ollerton, a rising British talent with a tremendous gift for trance & progressive. Having supported Joshua several times on our flagship radio show, Silk Royal Showcase, this past year, we're truly thrilled to feature his soulful compositions on our imprint for this first time.

The EP kicks off with "Aquatic Escape", which features the lush and hypnotic progressive trance sound that drew us to Mr. Ollerton initially. A soothing soundscape, punctuated by a heavenly, Sirens-esque vocal sequence, floats above an energetic groove. The layered midrange, which includes a gorgeous piano motif, crescendoes to a thrilling climax. The B-side, "Self Destruct", is also an uptempo affair that centers on a recurring vocal theme. The resonant bassline slowly filters into the arrangement and ultimately cuts through the mix with chainsaw-like sharpness and intensity. The melodic and vocal themes, which dance around the stereo field and continue to build throughout the song, prove to be mesmerizing.
