It was created by a Filipino student, Onel de Guzman, in the year 2000.
It wasn’t harmful to people, but it spread rapidly, corrupting files and stealing sensitive information.
Disguised as a love letter, it tricked people into opening a message wiping data, stealing passwords, and infecting millions of computers. Even NASA, the Pentagon, and major corporations weren’t safe. 
It was called the I Love You Virus, and it became one of the most destructive computer viruses in history.
All it took was a single click. It spread like wildfire, causing billions in damages—all because people couldn’t resist opening a love letter.
