Our laboratory (PI: Yasuhiro NISHIMURA) in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Technology at Keio University in Japan conducts experimental research of elementary particle physics and cosmic rays to elucidate the fundamental principles of the universe.
We are challenging with a large water Cherenkov detector, Hyper-Kamiokande, to discover proton decay as evidence of new physics called the Grand Unified Theory, to verify a violation of charge-parity symmetry in neutrinos, and to observe astronomical neutrinos.
