French stucco plastering is much more difficult to perfect than the less pure gypsum plastering many are used to in the UK. It never sets as hard UK plaster, however with tons of patience that doesn't mean the final finish has to be anything short of perfection. You do have to be pre-prepared, with all your tools to hand and the wall nicely wetted down.
Mastering the art of French plastering at times seems very frustrating as the initial setting times are staggeringly quick. Even the mixing techniques are different.
With the plastering finishing we are now ready to paint or even wallpaper shopping. Which is very exciting for us.
