Entry 8 of the diary of Knight Valinbur
"I am worn. I am but a shadow of a shadow of a shadow of who I was when I left. My footprints behind hold more of me then this failing flesh and blood. Griz is wounded... I realize now that my dear companions limps and whines. I wish I had seen it sooner.

But yet still he comforts me. I weep for him and he so gracefully rests against me, offering me solace.

We draw nearer to the Twin Moons. The Scholastum has prepared for months for this, and now it is time to seal away this evil."

"I weep for my soul.

What have I done...?
Oh, dear Provost, forgive me. What Have I done....?

The fight was valiant, and all proceeded as planned. The Twin Moons came with anger and malice as they are known. But Griz fell in the battle and I wept. The Twin Moons - knowing their time had come - offered me a deal... a bargain... One that I instantly regretted accepting.

One of them, to be trapped, and one to remain free... in return , Griz would live. It felt a compromise I could accept... Would not the world be better with one moon sealed away? But as I saw that dealer of treachery flee, it's twin trapped, flee I was plagued by doubt.

What have I done?"

"My faithful companion.
My judge.
My Counsellor.
My only friend.

I saw the hurt in Griz's eyes when he woke and found that he was not in the cold embrace of death, but the weak embrace of a life he was ready to leave.

I expected him to snap out in anger, but I found compassion. I held my friend and I wept for my mistake. Would that I could find more friends such as this. We watched the sun rise and knew our work was not yet done. I will work my whole life to seal away this second Red Moon, this foul deceiver - maker of deals. Griz will work to forgive me, and we will continue to work together.

I am a Knight of the Scholastum.

And I will Rise Now!"
