Hoist the sails and cast off with this rollicking hornpipe dance for strings and optional piano by Christopher Wheeler.

Written to give younger students exposure to changing time signatures and accidentals, "On the High Seas" starts and ends in 3/4 time (with a one to the bar feel), and a contrasting middle section in 4. If used, the piano part adds a degree or flair to the finished work.
