Pentel Side FX Quick Sketch with Pentel Blue Lead - Movable Jointed Plush Toy Concept 2x Speed
In today's video I test out Pentel Blue Lead 0.5mm. So this lead was definitely quite fun to play with. First thing I wanna mention is that this lead is absolutely terrible was writing. It will just snap snap snap every single second...literally.
Now when it comes to drawing on the other hand, this lead is not too bad. You can definitely get some really nice dark values with this lead. It does not erase as well as normal lead, just like...well...basically very similar to blue colored pencil. Shades very nice and smooth. Breaks a bit more than I would like and it just feels pretty weak compared to normal Pentel lead. It is also quite interestingly flexible. I mean you actually bend a whole stick of lead slightly without it breaking. Try doing that with normal Pentel lead and it will snap. Anyway, flexible lead means weak lead. If you already hate 0.5mm lead, then you will despise this lead. In closing, I really enjoyed using this blue colored lead. It was a lot of fun. But I'm definitely open to trying out other colored leads from different companies to see if there are some better options out there as far as durability is concerned. But that should be expected with colored lead. So I'm somewhat happy with it. This lead will definitely teach me a lesson about heavy handedness which is a good thing being an artist of course.
