This video is actually acting. But the message of kindness still stands. This boy stopped by a street vendor one day asking if she could sell food to him for $2 instead of $10 since that's all he had. The street vendor was understanding once she heard that he hadn't eaten all day. He had tried to buy some buns from a nearby shop but they didn't want to sell it to him for $2.
The woman immediately started packing food. She turned down his payment when he tried to pay. With an excuse of needing to go to the bathroom, she left him in charge of the stand. She went and grab him two buns and a drink.
But before she returned to her stand, she stayed back a bit waiting for him to finish dealing with a customer. She said that she's empathetic towards young people trying to find a job. As it is hard at this time.
She saw him stuff a $20 bill in his pocket when most customers these days pay via contactless payment on phones. She decided not to say anything. After she came back and gave him the food, the boy gave her the money back. She felt bad for a moment for doubting him. So she packed up the rest of her food for him to take home.
Now, although this isn't a real interaction the woman still express her empathy for young people who are trying their hardest to make it in the city on their own. I think in this tough time, everyone could use a bit more kindness.
