I'm pretty proud of my packing list now that I've refined throughout the years. 🥳 3 small tips I've learned for packing lighter are this...
1. Eliminate as many shoes as you can. They take up the most space and get some of the least use. Pack comfortable and versatile shoes that work for most occasions!
2. Pack for a week. No matter how long your trip is. If you are gone for a week, month, or a year, you'd be surprised how long your weeks worth of clothes can last. You can always wash your most worn items by hand and do a full load of laundry every few weeks.
3. Pack neutral colors. If it only goes with one outfit it might be best to keep it at home.
4. And for a bonus pack 1 fun thing that you can't justify but for some reason it makes you happy. I find it actually makes it easier to say no to other things if you are able to pack 1 little "I can't justify it but I still want it" item. For me it's changed over the years. Right now it's a sweatshirt that I wear on every flight.
What are your favorite packing tips?!
